Vintage full-sequins with crystal embellishment sweater.
Next bodycon dress. Steve Madden shoes.

Let me presenting my top-of-the-pop vintage find ever! Hehehe. This sweater is one of the most expensive vintage items I ever bought but it's worth it. I adore the craftsmanship of this sweater and FYI, this sweater is so damn heavy because of the sequins and the crystals and yes, it is made by 100% wool! C'est formidable, n'est-ce pas?!

My daddy's shirt. DIY necklace (This is the only necklace I have. Pardon me)
Thrifted bell-shaped skirt. candyfeet booties.

My current fave items in my closet would be the high-waisted skirts. Call me so-last-decade but I just successfully collected my confidence to pull them off since I (used to) think that anything high-waisted won't look flattering to my pear-shaped body. Thank God I lost 7 pounds so the pear has turned into cucumber???? Hehehe.. I'm just kidding *big grin*

* Thanks to Dhyta from Stain on My Red Shoes for taking these pics! :D

Thrifted pink dress. Thrifted leather jacket. Steve Madden shoes.

What comes to your mind when you see something PINK? Valentine's day, love, and all those beautiful girly things? Bah! How lame is that.
I'm pretty sure some of you might not like this color, though. Neither do I, but this is the best color for my skin and that's why I keep on buying pink dresses or pink blazers/cardigans without even liking it. It's rather weird but it's true. So what's the best color for your skin and do you really like that color? :)

Shop it to Me!

>> Thursday, May 14, 2009

My dad's shirt. DIY necklace.
Sequins leggings from eBay. Steve Madden wedges.

When it comes to shoe-shopping, I prefer to shop online. It's mainly because they're somewhat cheaper and not so many people wearing the same thing here in Jakarta. Hehehe.
Okay I'll spill my shopping secret now. Every Sunday I receive an email from Shopittome.com, and this is not just an email baby, it's a salemail! Since I'm a fan of Steve Madden, so I'd receive salemails about Steve Madden shoes (or any other brands that I like and ship to my country) on SALE! I hate full price so it works for me. Interesting, no? So darlings, just click here to sign up and enjoy the free service. :)

Playing around with my Biasa multifunction dress.

Biasa dress. Zara Studded belt. Thrifted leather jacket. Bebe shoes.

I almost got hit by off-road jeeps while taking these photos three times! Alas, me and my bestfriends got introduced to the men behind the wheel after that incident, then we went to a cafe nearby. Haha.

Thrifted blazer + mozaic dress. Candyfeet boots.

I love this dress so damn much and I believe we are meant to be. :) So here's the story behind this quirky dress... I always go bananas while thrifting and when I was almost done for the day, I found this dress at my regular seller's place. Yes lovelies, thrift stores in Jakarta aren't like stores in US for example. It's more like a traditional market that sells second-hand clothes and yes, second-hand undergarments. So, back to the story, I fell in love with the vintage dress instantly..

Me: How much is it?
Seller: $ 3
Me: No way. $ 1
Seller: You're kidding me.
Me: Look, I only have $2 left, so give it to me for $1.
Seller: Yea because you shopped a lot at other places. (Looking at my HUGE plastic bags)
Me: Please, $1. I always shop at your place, I never buy anything for more than $2 here!
Seller: Yes and I could go bankrupt in two days. Go back tomorrow. I'll keep it for you.
Me: Don't sell it to anyone or I'll kill you. *evil grin*
Seller: Well if someone could afford it for $3 or more, why not? I give you the best price you can get. *bigger grin*

Okay. I was freakin worried someone would buy that dress. So two weeks later I decided to go thrifting again and managed to buy that dress. I assured myself that no one would buy that dress but me. Teehee.. :p

Seller: Ah there you are.
Me: Where's my dress?
Seller: $3
Me: Hell no. $1
Seller: What the hell! I wish you didn't come back for this dress.
Me: Here, $1. Give me that dress.

And voila, here I am wearing the dream dress. How I love bargaining. Even in a harsh way. :)

Dancing Shoes

Don't you just love great, beautiful shoes? Don't you think that wearing beautiful shoes can makes us happy, or at least, more confident?

No I'm not talking about Manolos, Louboutins, Zanottis, or Kirkwoods. This photo series titled "Dancing Shoes (The Perfect Shoe of Pop Music)" show you that not only fashionistas who love great and beautiful shoes, but musicians too. They make music, they please their groupies with their outstanding performance, they amuse their fans on the stage or the gigs, and they show the world what a great shoe-shopper they are. :)

I love comments, especially the sweet ones. Not that I'm saying how I hate negative comments, but don't you guys think it's better to receive negative comments if the commentator put their real name and their blog address on the comment form instead of being anonymous? I'm not gonna say that those anonymous commentators are bad or evil or coward or whatever, it's just NICER if they say a negative comment without hiding their true identity. I appreciate comments, good and bad ones. But it's just not easy for me to appreciate those anonymous or fake-name commentators' negative comments. If you don't have anything good to say, would you just shut up and don't say anything at all? Well sorry, I'm only a sentimental human-being, I could get insulted too. I ain't robot man. :p

Dorothy Perkins blue minidress. Mango cardigans.
Victoria's Secret printed leggings. Miu Miu snakeskin flats.

No, actually there's no serious bad comment in my blog, just yet. Hopefully no. Please don't. I'm a sensitive person hahahahaha. :D It's just a random thought, though.
